Independent Private Consulting Disclaimer
Suru Compliance LLC is an independent private food safety and regulatory compliance consulting company and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), USDA, any state or local health department, or any other government agency. Regulatory, inspection, recall, warning letter, outbreak, advisory, and enforcement information displayed through this platform is obtained from publicly available government sources. Suru Compliance organizes and may summarize this information for convenience and educational/business-compliance purposes. The original government source remains the authoritative record. Users should review the original government record before making regulatory, legal, compliance, or business decisions.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of surucompliance.com and the SURU Compliance Intelligence Portal (together, the “Service”), operated by Suru Compliance LLC (“SURU”). By using the Service or creating an account you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. SURU is a private consultancy, not a government agency
SURU is an independent, privately owned food safety and regulatory compliance consulting company. SURU is not the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the USDA, or any state or local health department, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government agency. Nothing in the Service is an official government communication, determination, score, grade, rating or approval.
SURU is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. SURU is not a certification body. SURU cannot obtain or expedite regulatory approval and does not guarantee inspection outcomes, audit scores or regulatory findings.
3. Government data and how to rely on it
The inspection records, FDA warning letters, FDA recall and enforcement records, and CDC advisories and outbreak reports in the Service are public records obtained from government sources and reproduced as published, including any errors or omissions in the source data. Every record is labelled with its official source and with the time SURU retrieved it. Data reflects the date it was retrieved and may be incomplete, superseded or out of date; coverage varies by jurisdiction and some agencies publish no machine-readable data at all. Where a field is not published, SURU shows “Not Reported” rather than an estimate.
The original record held by the issuing agency is the authoritative version. You must review the original government record before making any regulatory, legal, compliance, purchasing, employment or business decision.
4. SURU analytics, scores and AI summaries
The SURU Risk Index, company compliance views, comparisons, rankings and plain-language summaries are SURU’s own independent analytical work product. They are not government scores, grades, ratings or determinations, and no agency has reviewed or approved them. Different jurisdictions score inspections in fundamentally different systems; SURU never converts one system into another and results from different jurisdictions are not directly comparable.
Some summaries are generated with artificial intelligence and are labelled as such. AI summaries condense information and may omit, simplify or mischaracterise details in the official record. They are provided for convenience and are not a substitute for reading the record.

12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
