Accessibility Statement

Suru Compliance LLC wants everyone — including people who use assistive technology — to be able to read inspection and regulatory intelligence and to manage an account without barriers. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA across surucompliance.com and the SURU Compliance Intelligence Portal.

• Semantic HTML with a single H1 per page, landmark regions, and a “Skip to main content” link.
• Every form control has a visible, programmatically associated label. Errors are announced and linked to their fields with aria-describedby; focus moves to the first problem after a failed submission.
• Visible keyboard focus on every interactive element; no keyboard traps. The mobile navigation traps focus only while it is open and returns focus on close.
• Colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 for text and 3:1 for interface components on their backgrounds; information is never conveyed by colour alone (risk bands carry text labels).
• Touch targets of at least 44×44 CSS pixels for primary controls; 16px input text on mobile so browsers do not zoom on focus.
• Pinch-zoom is never disabled. Motion is reduced when the operating system requests it.
• Data tables have proper headers; loading and status changes are announced politely through live regions.
• Government records are labelled in text with their official source and retrieval time — no reliance on seals, logos or icons to convey provenance.

We are honest about where we are still working:

• Government-published documents. Some agencies publish inspection reports and warning letters only as scanned PDFs or images. We link to those documents as published; we cannot make the agency’s file accessible, but we do present the structured fields the agency provides as text.
• Charts. Trend charts in the portal are accompanied by the underlying numbers in text or a table. If you find one that is not, tell us.
• Third-party widgets. When Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled on a form, its challenge widget is provided by Cloudflare and follows Cloudflare’s accessibility support.

We test with keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom to 200%, and screen readers (VoiceOver and NVDA), and we run automated checks against WCAG 2.2 AA criteria as part of development. Accessibility review is part of every new page and every new form.

If you encounter anything on the Service that is difficult or impossible to use with assistive technology, please write to info@surucompliance.com with the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you were using. We respond to every report directly and will provide the information in an alternative format on request.

The Service relies on HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS and JavaScript, and is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, on desktop and mobile, together with the assistive technologies commonly used with them.
